About Jae-Hun

Dr. Jae-Hun Yang serves as a Research Fellow and Lab Coordinator in the School of Science, within the College of Engineering, Science and Environment at the University of Newcastle, Australia, and is affiliated with the Global Innovative Centre for Advanced Nanomaterials (GICAN). He earned his Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science in Chemistry from Seoul National University. Prior to his current role, which began in late 2017, Yang held a Research Associate position at the Future Industries Institute, University of South Australia, from April to November 2017. His research centers on nanoporous materials and 2D nanohybrids composed of layered inorganics combined with organics, bio-molecules, or other inorganics. These materials function as heterogeneous catalysts, with a particular emphasis on photocatalysts, as well as drug delivery carriers and nano-fillers in polymer nanocomposites, targeting green energy production, environmental applications, and biomedical uses. His fields of research are classified under inorganic materials, including nanomaterials.
