Po-Ju Lin, Ph.D., serves as Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, Cancer Control unit at the University of Rochester Medical Center. She completed postdoctoral training as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Division of Supportive Care in Cancer within the same department from 2016 to 2020. Her academic background includes a Ph.D. in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan in 2015, an M.P.H. in Human Nutrition from the University of Michigan in 2004, an M.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan in 2003, and a B.S. in Food Science from National Chung-Hsing University in 2000.
Lin’s research centers on supportive care in cancer, with a focus on exercise interventions, yoga, cancer-related fatigue, physical function, and quality of life among cancer survivors. She holds the position of Assistant Director of the PEAK Human Performance Science and Clinical Research Lab. Her contributions include numerous peer-reviewed publications on topics such as the effects of yoga and exercise on chemotherapy-induced side effects, inflammation, and functional outcomes in cancer patients. Lin has received multiple awards, including the IAYT SYR Top Research Abstract Award in 2023, the MASCC Outstanding Young Investigator Award in 2022, and several ASCO and SBM research awards. She contributes to clinical research trials and collaborative studies at the Wilmot Cancer Institute.
