Bert Sakmann

Bert Sakmann is a German physiologist and biophysicist. He shared the 1991 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for discoveries concerning the function of single ion channels in cells. He was affiliated with the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research in Germany.
