Professional bio
Hannes Olof Gösta Alfvén was a Swedish physicist. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1970 for fundamental work and discoveries in magnetohydrodynamics with fruitful applications in different parts of plasma physics. He was affiliated with the Royal Institute of Technology.
