Professional bio
Julius Axelrod was an American biochemist and pharmacologist. He shared the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1970 for discoveries concerning the humoral transmitters in nerve terminals and the mechanism for their storage, release and inactivation. He was affiliated with the National Institutes of Health.
