Professional bio
Roger Y. Tsien was an American biochemist. He shared the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2008 for the discovery and development of the green fluorescent protein, GFP. His work helped establish GFP and related fluorescent proteins as tools for tracking proteins and processes in living cells.
