Professional bio
Susumu Tonegawa is a Japanese immunologist and molecular biologist. He won the 1987 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his discovery of the genetic principle for generation of antibody diversity. He was affiliated with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
