Assistant Professor, Nutrition Science

research on nutrient or phytochemical metabolism, precision nutrition, nutritional immunology and diverse populations (e.g., aging, minoritized, and other underrepresented populations).

Successful candidates are expected to establish a nationally recognized, externally funded research program, integrate their research into existing department, college, and university priority areas, and teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students. The position will have outstanding department support, strong research infrastructure, and access to collaborative opportunities both within CSU and with academic industry partners.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Nutrition or any related field
• At least 2 years of postdoctoral experience or previous academic appointment
• Demonstrated record of peer-reviewed research publications in high-impact journals
• Demonstrated ability to acquire research funding
• Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor undergraduate and/or graduate students

Preferred Qualifications

• Evidence of interdisciplinary research and successful team-based collaborations
• Experience writing large external grants
