Japanese Studies in the Department of Asian Studies to begin Fall
2027.

The Department of Asian Studies provides students with a strong foundation in the languages, cultures, histories, and societies of Asia through an interdisciplinary curriculum that integrates courses across diverse fields of study. The department offers distinctive hands-on learning opportunities, including January term travel courses and exchange partnerships with institutions such as Rikkyo University in Japan.
Major/Essential Functions: Randolph-Macon College faculty teach, advise, conduct research and engage in scholarship, and serve the college and department. Primary teaching responsibilities will include Japanese cultural courses and contributions to general education.

- PhD in Japanese Studies, Asian Studies, or a related field; we will consider candidates who have achieved ABD status and who will complete their degree by August 2027;
