Assistant Teaching Professors are expected to use educational strategies that emphasize student-centered learning and enable transformative learning experiences in lecture and laboratory courses. Experience or interest in innovative curricula for lab courses that foster a culture of discovery will be viewed as a strength. The department currently supports several course-based undergraduate research experiences (CUREs) and promotes an undergraduate Learning Assistant program to enhance active learning in our lectures and labs.

This position is a 9-month appointment during the academic year. The appointment is a renewable, full-time, benefits-eligible, teaching and laboratory oversight position with a promotion pathway to Associate Teaching Professor and Teaching Professor.

Candidates who are outside of the United States and do not have other non-immigrant visa status will not be sponsored for an H-1B petition.
