General Summary
Manage and expend operating and scholarship budget. Recruit competitive student-athletes on local, regional, state and national levels.
Specific Position Duties
- Assist the Head Womens Basketball Coach in the daily management and overall operation of the womens basketball program, including but not limited to:
- Recruiting prospective student-athletes.
- Recruiting and supporting international student-athletes.
- Coordinating team travel arrangements.
- Assisting with practice planning, preparation, and competition supervision.
- Monitoring student-athletes in the dormitory and cafeteria as needed.
- Serve as an academic mentor for student-athletes by:
- Monitoring academic progress and maintaining regular communication with instructors as needed.
- Assisting with academic advisement and course registration.
- Supervising study sessions to promote academic success.
- Coordinating tutoring services and academic support resources.
- Serve as an instructor for Physical Education and Super Circuit activity classes as assigned.
- Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification, or obtain certification within a designated timeframe.
- Assist with fundraising activities, community outreach, and promotional events for the womens basketball program and athletic department.
- Support compliance with institutional, conference, and NJCAA policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Womens Basketball Coach and/or Athletic Director.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Physical Education or a related field required.
- Experience in basketball through collegiate participation, coaching, or a combination of both preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basketball fundamentals, player development, and team strategy.
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills with the ability to work effectively with student-athletes from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to support the academic, athletic, and personal development of student-athletes while promoting a positive team culture.
