Clinical Assistant Professor - Pediatrics (Developmental Psychology)

Conduct diagnostic evaluations and provide behavior therapy using current, evidence-based practices and techniques.

Participate in interdisciplinary diagnostic evaluations and collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to support comprehensive patient care.

Collaborate with patients, families, and caregivers as part of the assessment and treatment process.

Provide clinical services in outpatient and, as applicable, inpatient settings.

Contribute to the education, training, and mentorship of learners, including medical students, residents, fellows, and graduate-level learners from a variety of disciplines.

Participate in departmental and divisional meetings, case conferences, teaching rounds, seminars, quality improvement activities, scholarly activities, and other academic activities as assigned.

Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain expertise in pediatric developmental psychology, psychological assessment, behavioral intervention, and related areas of practice.

Required Qualifications:

Education: PhD in Clinical Psychology, Developmental Psychology, or a related discipline.

• This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skill set required to perform the duties of the position. The level of degree is based on accreditation requirements, institutional standards of academic and professional excellence, alignment with peer institution benchmarks, and contributes to the credibility and effectiveness of the role within the university community.

Certifications/Licenses: Licensed Psychologist (LP) with the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB), or eligible for licensure in Kansas.

Work Experience:

• Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations and providing behavior therapy for individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, and/or childhood mental health disorders
• Experience participating in interdisciplinary diagnostic evaluations.
• Experience working with families of children with disabilities.
• Experience with Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) administration and/or training.

Work Experience:

• Experience with clinical psychology and developmental pediatrics in the outpatient setting.
• Experience providing clinical teaching to graduate-level learners, medical students, pediatric residents, or other health professions learners.
