opportunity is designed for physicians who have completed cardiovascular training and wish to further develop their clinical, academic, and professional expertise in a specialized area of cardiovascular medicine. The candidate will work closely with faculty and multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic clinical environment with opportunities for patient care, scholarly, activity, and professional development. M.D. degree and be board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Medicine. Selected candidate will also hold (or have the ability to obtain) appropriate medical licenses for the State of Michigan. Evidence of clinical competence and documentation of scholarly ability and achievement (record of publications in peer-reviewed journals). Preferred candidate will possess the critical elements of teaching (knowledge of subject matter, skill in presentation, enthusiastic approach, etc.). Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses. Job openings are posted for a minimum of seven calendar days. The review and selection process may begin as early as the eighth day after posting.
