Job Summary
The University of Utah is seeking a Data Center Technician to join the Infrastructure and Operations team responsible for data center and IT spaces across the institution. As part of a technically diverse team, this position will be part of mission critical service delivery to the institution and outside customers.
About UIT: University Information Technology (UIT), the central IT service provider for the University of Utah, reports to the U's Chief Information Officer and is responsible for many of the U's shared IT services including the wired and wireless network; Campus Information Services (CIS) portal; UMail, telephone, and online collaboration; digital learning technologies; information security; software licensing; and a host of other IT systems and services.

Responsibilities
Data Center Technician II
Will work in a high security facility, housing sensitive data, providing mission critical services and support life safety operations.
- Answer customer phone calls and emails in a professional manner.
- Receive and address work orders to install computer, network and server hardware.
