POSITION SUMMARY:
Texas College seeks an experienced, highly skilled Director of Facilities & Senior HVAC Technician to lead campus facilities operations while serving as the College's principal hands-on HVAC professional. leadership and accountability for the College's overall facilities operation.
- The immediate priority of this position is to improve the
reliability, preventive maintenance, responsiveness, and long-term condition of the College's HVAC systems serving classrooms, residence
halls, administrative buildings, student spaces, and other campus facilities. - The Director will also supervise facilities personnel and
contractors; establish effective work-order and preventive-maintenance systems; coordinate repairs and campus maintenance; identify
deferred-maintenance priorities; and provide College leadership with reliable information regarding the condition and needs of the physical
plant. - This position is intended for an experienced HVAC professional who is prepared to work directly on equipment as well as lead the
department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from an accredited HVAC technical
school or equivalent substantial HVAC training and experience. - Minimum of six years of progressively responsible HVAC maintenance
experience. - Significant hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing commercial or institutional HVAC systems.
