About HKUST(GZ)
Established in June 2022, HKUST (GZ) is situated in Nansha, Guangzhou, at the geometric center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. HKUST (GZ) is the first university globally to adopt an innovative academic structure, consisting of Hubs and Thrusts instead of traditional Schools and Departments. This design aims to encourage interdisciplinary learning in a continuous effort to find innovative solutions to the major challenges facing humanity.
The institution features state-of-the-art research facilities specifically designed to support scientists across various disciplines. As a spin-off from the esteemed HKUST, both campuses benefit from a synergistic relationship that allows for shared resources-another significant shift from conventional higher education practices. The HKUST (GZ) community will comprise 800 faculty members, 4,000 undergraduate students, and 6,000 postgraduate students.
