Offer Description
The successful candidate will contribute to the scientific objectives of the Fire-Tran project, ideally while simultaneously working on a doctoral dissertation. The project aims to analyze the response of forest ecosystems to fire in the Mediterranean region. To this end, a local field study will be conducted, and an international network of study sites will be established to identify the factors that influence the response to fire and subsequent restoration treatments. Tasks will include…
fieldwork, operating scientific equipment, managing databases, conducting statistical analyses, and publishing protocols and results. In addition, the candidate will need to communicate with local stakeholders (e.g., associations and forestry officials) and, in English, with a network of international collaborators who will contribute knowledge and data to the study.
The attached resume should include a brief statement explaining the candidate's interest in this project and how their profile aligns with the evaluation criteria.
