Full or Associate Professor

Management. These positions are designed to strengthen the connection between academic and applied research and to position new Professors as leading contributors to the broader Bocconi ecosystem.

The senior faculty positions represent a strategic investment in the School's intellectual leadership and future. SDA Bocconi seeks outstanding scholars with at least 3 years' experience as tenured Associate or Full Professors, who combine internationally recognized academic excellence with an exceptional ability to engage, challenge and inspire experienced executives and organizational leaders. We are particularly interested in professors who can contribute not only through their own scholarship and teaching, but also through the development of people, ideas and institutions.

Through these appointments, SDA Bocconi aims to strengthen its position as a global meeting point for frontier research, transformative executive learning and responsible leadership. We are particularly interested in professors who see research excellence and educational impact as mutually reinforcing. Their research should have the potential to shape both academic thinking and managerial practice across corporations, financial institutions and government organizations, while their teaching should connect intellectual depth and frontier knowledge with the evolving realities of management and leadership.

Why SDA Bocconi: SDA Bocconi is the School of Management of Bocconi University and an international community of faculty, participants, alumni, executives and organizations. Its portfolio spans MBA and Executive MBA programs, specialized and executive Master's programs, open-enrollment executive education, and customized programs developed with companies and institutions where the leading position of the School is globally recognized by major rankings. This breadth creates a distinctive environment for senior scholars. Joint appointments with Bocconi University Departments further connect faculty to a broader academic ecosystem and create opportunities to bridge disciplinary scholarship with management practice.

The School encourages faculty to engage with the forces reshaping management and society—from the evolution of finance, ownership and governance to artificial intelligence and the future of work, geopolitical fragmentation, demographic change, and new forms of entrepreneurship and innovation.

For senior scholars who aspire to have an impact beyond their individual research portfolios, SDA Bocconi offers the opportunity to shape ideas, develop people, build institutions and contribute to the future of management education and research.

The Profile We Seek

Candidates should have a scholarly record consistent with appointment at the Full or Associate Professor level and an established international reputation in their field. We are looking for scholars who combine sustained, original and influential research with intellectual leadership, international visibility, a strong entrepreneurial attitude, a recognized capability to lead high-level executive education projects and a strong commitment to developing younger scholars.

Beyond their individual achievements, successful candidates will be expected to act as institution builders and academic leaders. They should have a proven ability and genuine commitment to developing the next generation of scholars and professors: mentoring younger faculty, creating opportunities for intellectual growth, fostering a culture of excellence and helping promising academics develop into internationally recognized, world-class professors in their own right. This commitment to developing people should extend beyond individual mentorship. Full and Associate Professors will be expected to contribute actively to the intellectual and institutional development of SDA Bocconi, building: applied research platforms, executive education initiatives, partnerships and academic communities where appropriate. They should have the ambition and capacity to shape the School's future faculty, strengthen its intellectual community and leave a lasting institutional legacy.

The ideal candidates will also bring:

• a strong understanding of the challenges facing contemporary organizations and leaders;
• the ability to translate research into meaningful engagement with companies, institutions, policymakers and broader society;
