Offer Description
The University of Alcalá (UAH) is offering one full-time research position within the project "Respuestas plásticas y genéticas en individuos y poblaciones del rango nativo e invadido de una planta cosmopolita", funded by the Community of Madrid (reference CM/DEMG/2024-011).
The project focuses on evolutionary ecology, particularly adaptation and phenotypic plasticity in biological invasions.
Main responsibilities
- Maintenance of common garden and reciprocal transplant experiments.
- Measurement of biological traits in plants from experimental settings and natural populations in situ.
- Data processing.
- Preliminary analysis of the collected data.
Employment conditions
- Number of positions: 1.
- Contract duration: 2 months.
- Expected starting date: 5 October 2026.
- Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (full-time).
- Gross monthly salary: EUR 1,989.30, including the proportional share of additional salary payments.
- Funding organisation: Community of Madrid.
- Project reference: CM/DEMG/2024-011.
The selected candidate will work under the supervision of Dr Jesús Villellas Ariño.
