May supervise administrative staff and manage hr related projects. 7. Oversees the processing of paperwork necessary to initiate changes to employee pay or employment status. Prepares and/or obtains deparment head approval of new positions, Position Request Forms, reclassification requests, internal job posting, performance appraisals, salary increases and Turnaround Documents. 8. Maintains departmental human resource files and documentation of departmental actions. Forwards needed documentation to the Office of Human Resource Management for inclusion in the employees' University personnel file. 9. Responds to inquiries from department administrators, managers, and supervisors regarding procedures to resolve day to day human resource issues. Ensures that all University and departmental procedures are consistently followed in the resolution of those issues. Advises management on the most appropriate action to take for resolution of issues. 10. Performs other duties as assigned. Salary Range : $47,665 - $77,455 Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Preferred Knowledge & Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Experience performing HR duties in an academic environment. Experience using Taleo, PeopleAdmin, Oracle, and Lawson.
