The Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the Medical University of Lublin announces an open competitive selection procedure for the full-time position of JUNIOR ASSISTANT within the group of RESEARCH AND TEACHING STAFF at the Independent Laboratory of Molecular Genetics, Department of Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Medical University of Lublin.

Skills/Qualifications

Qualification Requirements:

• Master’s degree (magister or magister inżynier) in medical sciences, medical biology, biological sciences, or related fields, or an equivalent academic degree.
• Working proficiency in English; in the case of foreign nationals, working proficiency in Polish is also required.

Desirable / Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques.
• Demonstrated teaching experience with university-level students.
• Certified qualifications for working with laboratory/experimental animals in academic units, universities, research institutes, or pharmaceutical companies.
• Experience in supervising or co-supervising Bachelor’s (licentiate) and/or Master’s degree theses.

Chodźki 7, Collegium Academicum, phone: +48 81 448 6220); in the case of foreign nationals, a Certificate of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language issued by the State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language.
• Supporting documentation confirming experience in molecular biology techniques (if applicable).
• Supporting documentation confirming university teaching experience (if applicable).
• Supporting documentation certifying qualifications to work with laboratory/experimental animals (if applicable).
• Supporting documentation confirming experience in supervising Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree theses (if applicable).

Pursuant to Art. 3(1)(2), Art. 12(6) and (7), and Art. 21 of the Act of May 13, 2016, on Counteracting Sexual Crime Threats and Protection of Minors (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1802, as amended), the selected candidate is required to submit to the Human Resources and Social Affairs Department of the Medical University of Lublin (ul. Aleje Racławickie 1), no later than the date of signing the employment contract:

• An official record check from the Polish National Criminal Register (Krajowy Rejestr Karny) within the scope specified in Art. 21(3) of the Act.
• If applicable, an official record check from the criminal register of the relevant foreign country or declarations referred to in Art. 21(4)–(7) of the Act:
