Overview
Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, a nonprofit teaching hospital affiliated with George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to join Gastroenterology Associates.
This role offers the opportunity to practice advanced gastroenterology in a collaborative academic environment with access to state-of-the-art facilities, diverse patient populations, and robust clinical support.
Core Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat conditions involving the gastrointestinal (GI), hepatic, biliary, and pancreatic systems
- Provide outpatient care and inpatient consults (rotating call schedule)
- Perform and interpret endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy preferred)
- Order and evaluate diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging
- Manage chronic GI conditions and follow-up care plans
- Supervise and teach residents, fellows, and medical students
- Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and clinical governance
- Stay current with clinical guidelines, research, and emerging GI technologies
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $500,000 + performance-based incentives (RVU model)

Minimum Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of Gastroenterology Fellowship
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Eligible for Maryland Medical License (unrestricted)
- Active DEA and CDS licenses
- BLS and ACLS certifications
Preferred:
- Experience with EGD and colonoscopy procedures
- Interest in academic medicine, teaching, or research
