Offer Description
The project focuses on the development and optimization of molecular tools and experimental protocols to investigate the behavior of marine microorganisms and their symbiotic interactions, with the broader aim of understanding their roles in marine ecosystem functioning.
The main activities will include DNA extraction and library preparation for high-throughput sequencing, qPCR, microalgal culturing, and the combination of in vitro microfluidic approaches with live-cell microscopy. The candidate will also contribute to data analysis and interpretation, protocol development and optimization, the preparation of technical reports, and the writing of scientific publications.
This work will ultimately aim to establish links between microbial cell behavior and ecological processes occurring in natural marine environments.
