We are currently seeking an ophthalmologist for a well-functioning and forward-thinking clinic in southwest Sweden. You’ll work in a supportive and stimulating environment, with a wide patient base and the opportunity to contribute your expertise to a team that values quality, collaboration, and medical excellence.
The clinic’s focus areas include:
- General ophthalmology
- Paediatric ophthalmology
- Diagnosis and follow-up of diabetic retinopathy
- Glaucoma management and chronic eye care
- Neurological and inflammatory eye conditions
- Cataract assessments and the possibility of performing cataract surgery if qualified
The clinic is known for its strong team spirit, low staff turnover, and well-structured collaboration between physicians, optometrists, nurses, and support staff.
Your role
As a specialist in ophthalmology, your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing, treating, and following up on a wide range of eye conditions
- Collaborating actively with other healthcare professionals in the team
- Supervising and mentoring residents
- Contributing to the development of clinical practices and care processes
Qualifications
- EU-recognised specialist certification in ophthalmology
- Minimum of two years of experience as a specialist
- Good communication skills in English and a willingness to learn Swedish
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-focused approach
