Overview
This Perceptual quality assessment on reconstructed CT images project at University of Dundee deals with the fact that, although Computed Tomography (CT) scan has been widely used for accurate disease diagnosis and treatment, there is a risk that patients may be exposed to a high amount of ionising radiation due to the frequent use of CT scan. To address this limitation, numerous CT image reconstruction methods have been proposed to ensure an accurate reconstruction while keeping radiation dose to a minimum. However, the perceptual quality of the reconstructed CT images has not been investigated.
Diversity statement: Our research community thrives on the diversity of students and staff which helps to make the University of Dundee a UK university of choice for postgraduate research. We welcome applications from all talented individuals and are committed to widening access to those who have the ability and potential to benefit from higher education.
