Overview
This Education programme offered by Anglia Ruskin University is designed for practitioners working across the education sector, including early years, school, further education, higher education, and adult learning. The programme enables candidates to investigate policy or practice issues relevant to their professional context and use research findings to support innovation and improvement at local, regional, or national levels.
Key Facts
During the structured first stage, participants refine their research ideas with support from an academic adviser while receiving in-depth research training through a series of workshops. Following formal approval of the research proposal, candidates progress to a supervised research phase, undertaking an original investigation focused on educational policy or practice. The programme concludes with the submission and defence of a doctoral thesis through a viva voce examination.
