The PhD in Electroacoustic Composition, Sonic Arts and Intermedia Applications at the Conservatory of Foggia trains composers, performers, and researchers able to innovate in electroacoustic and experimental music, integrating visual arts, theatre, dance, and new technologies such as VR, AI, and interactive systems. Doctoral candidates develop projects in installations, concerts, and cultural events, collaborating with public and private institutions to promote contemporary music. The program also enhances the sound heritage of Apulia and Southern Italy through creative reinterpretations. Activities include composition, performance, interdisciplinary research, study of electroacoustic repertoire, extended instrumental techniques, and augmented instruments. The PhD fosters national and international collaborations, teaching and tutoring opportunities, offering a research path that culminates in an original contribution to the field of sonic arts.
