PhD Position in Cognitive Neuroscience – VAPOD Project

Offer Description

Caen University is recruiting a PhD candidate within the VAPOD research project. The project aims to investigate the temporal dynamics of sustained attention and its determinants. The research will involve prolonged vigilance and simulated driving tasks. The PhD candidate will contribute to experimental design and protocol implementation. They will participate in participant recruitment and the acquisition of behavioral, EEG and eye-tracking data. A major part of the work will focus on the preprocessing and analysis of multimodal time-series data. The research will specifically contribute to testing the Three-Component Model (TCM) of sustained attention. Statistical and time-resolved modelling approaches will be used to characterize attentional fluctuations. The PhD will be conducted in a multidisciplinary environment combining cognitive neuroscience, neurophysiology and data analysis.

Profile: Master’s degree in neuroscience, psychology, cognitive science, engineering or a related field, with a strong interest in experimental research and data analysis.
