The Department Structure and Dynamics of Energy Materials is looking for

PhD Student (f/m/d) Semiconductor Materials for Photovoltaics

Your Tasks

Synthesis of novel compound semiconductors for photovoltaic applications (emerging chalcogenides, chalcogenide perovskites, and hybrid halide perovskites)

Structural and optoelectronic characterization of compound semiconductors

Derivation of structure–property–function relationships

Preparation of scientific publications

Presentation of research results at scientific conferences and workshops

Your Profile

Master's degree in physics, chemsitry, materials science or geosciences
Sound knowledge of crystallography
Experience with diffraction methods (X-ray diffraction) and data analysis
Extensive experience in the planning, execution, and analysis of complex experiments
Excellent communication skills
German skills at C1 level and English skills at B2 level
High motivation for research work and teamwork
