Offer Description
SVO2Mat is a research project aiming to transfer the new transparent conducting oxide (TCO) SrVO3 into technologically interesting applications. The functional properties of this material are close to the one of the standard ITO, but the chemical and structural specificities of this material ask for an adaptation of the standard industrial deposition techniques, which will be explored in this project. Financed by the Normandy region, this project is a joint project between two research laboratories (CRISMAT and CIMAP) and an industrial partner (Codex International).
In this project, a Post-Doc position of minimum 12 months is available concerning the development of dc sputtering targets for SrVO3. The tasks of the Post-Doc will be the solid state synthesis of this material and its sintering, with the aim to test dc sputtering of thin films and the subsequent structural and functional characterisation of the films. She/hewill also participate in the project monitoring, the communication of the results, and the relation with the industrial partners.
The candidate will work at the CRISMAT and CIMAP laboratories, which are joint units of the CNRS, ENSICAEN and the University of Caen Normandy, both located in Caen. The researcher will have access to the experimental techniques provided by the laboratories. Short-term travel within France or abroad may be required as part of this project.
