The Malaney Lab ( www.malaneylab.org ) at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team studying RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) in health and disease. Our lab investigates RBPs regulate RNA splicing, modification, export, translation, and stability, and how mutations in these proteins contribute to pathogenic states. We integrate cell biology, molecular biology, and mouse modeling techniques to uncover the mechanistic basis of RBP dysregulation in cancer and neurodevelopmental diseases.
We foster a collegial, inclusive lab culture built on curiosity, scientific rigor, and teamwork. Mentorship and career development are typically tailored to each trainee's goals. The candidate will have access to state-of-the-art instrumentation and core facilities. They will be supported in leading their own projects, pursuing new research directions, applying for fellowships, presenting at scientific meetings, and preparing for a range of career paths.
Salary and Benefits
Salary follows the NIH postdoctoral pay scale and will be commensurate with experience. Dartmouth offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement contributions, and access to institutional wellness and professional development resources.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the candidate is expected to lead experimental projects dissecting the role of RNA-binding proteins in health and disease.
