Postdoctoral Position in Mechanical Behavior of Ceramic Matrix Composites

Research Areas

• Experimental characterization of CMCs under quasi-static or dynamic loading
• Fracture mechanics, fatigue, and creep behavior
• Microstructure-property relationships
• Multiscale modeling (e.g., finite element analysis, damage modeling) is a plus but not required

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, or a closely related field
• Strong background in composite materials, ceramics, or fracture mechanics
• Hands-on experience with mechanical testing systems (e.g., universal test frames, DIC, acoustic emission, high-temperature furnaces)
• Proven publication record in peer-reviewed journals
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
