Job Description
For the Supramolecular Chemistry research group of Prof. Vladimir Sindelar we are looking for a talented and motivated postdoctoral researcher with strong skills in organic synthesis.
The research project
The postdoctoral position focuses on the synthesis of bambusuril, a class of macrocyclic compounds pioneered by the Sindelar group. The aim is to develop new bambusuril analogues with enhanced anion-binding selectivity and tunable binding kinetics. The project is particularly well suited to candidates with a strong background in organic synthesis. Experience in the synthesis of macrocyclic compounds and the solution-phase characterization of supramolecular host–guest systems would be a distinct advantage.
Skills and Qualifications
The candidate must have obtained a Ph.D. degree in organic, supramolecular, or physical chemistry within the past six years. The candidate is expected to have relevant research experience and a strong publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals. During the postdoctoral appointment, the candidate will also be expected to prepare and submit a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship proposal, with the aim of securing additional funding to extend their research stay in the Sindelar group.
