The successful candidate will work on research projects led by Dr. Arpan Kusari , Associate Research Scientist, in UMTRI's Engineering Systems Group (ESG), and will conduct research that focuses on the intersection of AI, computer vision and large-scale simulation. The candidate should demonstrate a keen understanding of the problems they have solved and the impact of their solutions. A Ph.D. that closely aligns with the research areas outlined in the job summary Strong quantitative and analytical skills Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a research environment Excellent problem solving and communication skills Demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed conferences or journals * Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and maintain authorization for the duration of the appointment. The Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is for a one-year. The University of Michigan conducts background checks on all job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background checks.
