Call corresponding to the year 2026 for predoctoral contracts for the training of university teaching staff, within the framework of the State Program for Human Resources, of the State Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research for the 2024–2027 period (https://www.aei.gob.es/convocatorias/buscador-convocatorias/ayudas-contratos-fpu-2026/convocatoria).
Objective of the contract: Actively participate in a cutting edge research project in the field of ultrafast optics and photonics, contributing to the development and optimisation of novel techniques for generating ultrashort duration coherent light, from the infrared to the extreme ultraviolet. The work will focus on the study of nonlinear propagation of laser pulses and the exploration of new strategies to control and optimise their spatial, temporal, and spectral properties, with special dedication to the third and fourth objectives of the project.

Principal Investigators: Carlos Hernández García and Julio San Román Álvarez de Lara
The Fellowship will have a maximum duration of four years.
