Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) is one of the UK's most dynamic institutions and leads the way from a strong values base as the University for the Common Good. Ranked consistently as the UK's, and Scotland's, top-performing modern university, and named UK University of the Year for Graduate Jobs, we are proud to be a mission-driven university dedicated to transforming lives through high-impact education and research that is accessible and inclusive.
Our students are global change-makers, our academics push boundaries, and our research addresses some of the world's most pressing challenges, from health inequalities to sustainability and inclusive societies. With campuses in Glasgow and London, and partnerships across the globe, we are local, national and truly international.
We are seeking an exceptional Pro Vice-Chancellor for Education and Student Success to provide strategic leadership across education, academic quality and the student experience. Reporting to the Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor and as a member of the University's senior leadership team, you will play a central role in the next phase of GCU's transformation and the delivery of our ambitious Strategy 2030.
This is a career defining opportunity to transform GCU's approach to education and student success, while playing a critical role in the wider transformation of the University. You will develop a clear and ambitious education strategy, reimagine the end-to-end student journey and help shape what a modern, student-centred university should look like. You will translate this vision into action, strengthening education performance and outcomes, developing the supporting infrastructure and capabilities, and building a culture of clear expectations, accountability and continuous improvement.
We are looking for a visionary and ambitious leader who can combine a clear view of the future of higher education with a strong track record of delivery. You will understand what excellent education and student experience look like, while also being willing to address the fundamentals and translate strategy into action. You will bring energy, clarity of thinking and the ability to engage people in change, support their development and hold them to account. Above all, you will share our commitment to the Common Good and inspire others to do the same.
This is an opportunity to make a profound difference to GCU's future, working with a close and collaborative leadership team to shape a modern, student-centred university. If you have the ambition, resilience and creativity to help take GCU to the next level, we would love to hear from you.
