Offer Description
Termez State University invites applications from qualified international academics for teaching and research positions at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics.
The University is particularly interested in candidates with expertise in the following areas:
MATHEMATICS
- Operator Theory in Banach Spaces
- Equations of Mathematical Physics
- Modern Methods of Mathematical Physics
- Complex Analysis / Theory of Functions of a Complex Variable
PHYSICS
- Theory of Nonlinear Oscillations and Waves
The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, curriculum development, student supervision, and international academic cooperation.
Main responsibilities include:
- Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses in English;
- Delivering advanced theoretical courses in Mathematics and/or Physics;
- Supervising undergraduate, master's, and doctoral research projects;
- Conducting and publishing high-quality research in peer-reviewed international journals;
- Contributing to curriculum development and modernization;
- Participating in international research projects and grant applications;
- Supporting the development of research groups and academic collaboration at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics.
Candidates should hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Physics, Theoretical Physics, Physics, or a closely related field.
Preference will be given to candidates with a strong publication record, experience in international research collaboration, and publications indexed in Scopus and/or Web of Science.

Skills/Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Physics, Theoretical Physics, Physics, or a closely related field.
- Strong academic and research background in at least one of the advertised areas.
- Demonstrated expertise in mathematical analysis, applied mathematics, mathematical physics, or theoretical physics.
- Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in English.
- Experience in conducting and publishing research in peer-reviewed international journals.
- Ability to supervise undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral research projects.
- Experience in international research cooperation, academic mobility, and grant-funded projects will be considered an advantage.
Specific Requirements
- Applicants must hold a doctoral degree relevant to the advertised position.

Benefits
- The annual salary will range from USD 20,000 to USD 30,000, depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications, academic experience, and expertise. The salary will be paid in monthly installments throughout the year.

Eligibility criteria
- PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Physics, Theoretical Physics, Physics, or a closely related field.
- Relevant teaching and/or research experience in higher education.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following areas: Operator Theory in Banach Spaces, Equations of Mathematical Physics, Modern Methods of Mathematical Physics, Complex Analysis, or Theory of Nonlinear Oscillations and Waves.
- Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in English.
- Research publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or international conference proceedings.
- Preference will be given to candidates with publications indexed in Scopus and/or Web of Science.
- Experience in supervising graduate students and participating in international research projects will be considered an advantage.
Selection process
Applications will be reviewed by the relevant academic and administrative representatives of Termez State University.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an online interview. During the interview, candidates may be asked to discuss their teaching experience, research profile, current and future research plans, and potential contribution to the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics.
The final decision will be based on academic qualifications, research achievements, teaching competence, international experience, and the candidate’s potential contribution to the University’s academic and research development.
