Objectives

Identification and characterization of environmental contaminants in honey and bee products, particularly those causing bee mortality.

Work Plan

• Preparation of polyurethane foams, with and without incorporation of the target compound
• Material characterization
• Assessment of the selective capture and release of the target compound
• Development of a kit for use by honey and bee product producers

Contest Procedure

Contest Evaluation Method(s)
Curricular evaluation weighted to 50% on a scale of 20 points with a minimum of 16 points needed for admission.
Carta de motivação weighted to 50% on a scale of 20 points with a minimum of 16 points needed for admission.
The minimum final grade needed for admission is 16 points.

Experience in polyurethane foam preparation or high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) Physicochemical characterisation techniques of materials
