The Assistant Coach assists the Head Coach in managing, executing, and leading all administrative and athletic functions of a competitive collegiate sports program. This role is responsible for setting and maintaining team rules and expectations, coaching and developing student-athletes, and driving recruiting efforts from initial outreach through campus visits. Responsibilities:
Assists Head Coach with practice and game planning.
Develops training sessions for Denison athletes and provides athletes with feedback and direction.
Develops strategy for future opponents and analyzes film and creates scouting reports.
Recruits prospective student-athletes, communicates via email, phone, and in-person at recruiting events.
Arranges travel plans and itineraries for the team including making hotel reservations, meals, equipment, and practice schedule.
Updates and maintains social media content. Posts stories and videos to ensure a strong interactive presence for the sport.
Monitors student-athletes’ academic progress.
Reinforces team and University rules and expectations.
