Quality Assurance and Governance Officer

This is a full‑time role, based in Stevenage with hybrid working.

What You’ll Do

• Support the development, implementation and review of ECT’s quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and secure QA records to support monitoring, reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate and service academic committees, preparing documentation, minutes and action tracking.
• Assist in planning and delivering internal reviews, external audits, and accreditation activities.
• Manage programme and module modification processes, ensuring documentation remains accurate and current.
• Coordinate programme validation and revalidation panels within the Quality Framework.
• Support annual programme and module review processes, ensuring timely completion of actions.
• Manage the External Examiner lifecycle, including appointments, training and communication.
• Produce clear, evidence-based reports for senior management and governance committees.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement across QA processes and the student experience.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in quality assurance, academic governance or regulatory compliance within higher education.
• Good understanding of OfS, QAA and PSRB expectations.
• Proven experience servicing committees and producing high‑quality documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyse information, identify issues and propose practical solutions.
• Confident IT user, including MS Office and document management systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues across the institution.

Desirable

• Experience within a small or specialist HE provider.
