The role holder will, together with a team of PhD students, design and carry out experimental investigations in the spintronic, orbitronics, thermal and thermoelectric properties of 2D materials and heterostructures, particularly including topological materials (e.g. Chern insulators and Weyl semimetals), magnets and ferroelectrics. They will perform device fabrication and characterisation using the facilities of the Guimarães group, CORDE, and the Cambridge Graphene Centre.

Applicants should hold (or be close to completing) a PhD in physics or a related field. Appointment at Research Associate is dependent on having a PhD.
