Skills/Qualifications
Applications may be submitted by any national, foreign or stateless candidate holding a Bachelor’s degree in the field of biology. Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in the field of marine biology, aquatic environmental sciences or marine sciences.
Candidates holding academic degrees awarded by foreign higher education institutions must submit proof of the recognition, equivalence or registration of the degree, in accordance with Decree-Law No. 66/2018 of 16 August, by the date of signing the employment contract.
Specific Requirements
Specific Requirements:
- Experience in fieldwork in rocky intertidal systems;
- Experience in biodiversity data analysis and identification of species from the rocky intertidal zone;
- Experience in taxonomy of rocky intertidal species;
- Availability, when necessary and under the legally applicable terms, to work outside normal working hours, including weekends and public holidays, within the scope of field campaigns and project activities;
- Availability to travel within Europe;
- Spoken and written knowledge of English;
- Driving licence.
Preferential requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with data analysis in R;
- Experience in scientific communication.
- Experience in environmental DNA sampling and analysis.
A professional profile compatible with collaborative work, scientific rigour, responsibility and compliance with ethical principles in research will be valued.
