Simulation and Clinical Faculty - School of Nursing

Provide real-time observation and coaching to support safe, effective clinical practice; evaluate student performance using standardized tools and narrative feedback.

Participate in ongoing course and curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation activities including simulation scenario development and refinement.

Participate in service-related activities (such as serving on committees/task forces, mentoring students, etc.) to support the mission of the school.

Required Qualifications

Education: Graduate degree in Nursing.

This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skill set required to perform the duties of the position. The level of degree is based on accreditation requirements, institutional standards of academic and professional excellence, alignment with peer institution benchmarks, and contributes to the credibility and effectiveness of the role within the university community.

Certifications/Licenses:

• Possess a registered nurse (RN) license from the Kansas State Board of Nursing (or be eligible for RN licensure in Kansas).

Work Experience:

• One (1) year of clinical nursing practice experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications/Licenses:

• Certification in simulation (CHSE) or nursing education (CNE).

Work Experience:

• Prior teaching experience in lab and clinical environments.
• Experience in simulation-based education or facilitation.
• Experience as a preceptor in a clinical environment.
