Part-time; up to 19.5 hours weekly, hours and schedule will vary. School days/hours are Monday through Friday 7:30am-4:00pm.

Job Summary
UT Tyler University Academy at Tyler Campus is looking to build a pool of candidates for substitute teachers. As openings become available, applicants will be selected for interviews. This position will engage with students through the teaching of the assigned subject during a teacher's absence. They will utilize the teacher's scheduled lesson plans to facilitate and monitor student's during class.
Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks
- Facilitate/monitor students during class and other school activities.
- Complete daily attendance records.
Required Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- General subject content knowledge.
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Education/Experience
- Some college hours or associate degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies
- Effectively manage classroom behavior, maintain order, and establish a learning environment that mirrors that of the regular teacher.
