Specific Requirements

All applicants must meet the general requirements prescribed by the Labour Act (Official Gazette No 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22, 46/23 and 64/23).

Applicants are required to meet the general conditions set in Article 39, Section 4 and 6 of the Scientific Activity and Higher Education Act (Official Gazette 119/22 and 110/26), as well as Article 123, Section 3 and 4 of the Statute of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Article 47, Section 2 and 3 of the Statute of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the conditions set in Article 26 of the Ordinance on the Implementation of the Election/Re-election Procedure for Scientific-Teaching, Artistic-Teaching, Teaching, Associate, and Professional Positions at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek

Applicants shall satisfy the criteria for an exceptionally successful student, as prescribed by the Decision on the Establishment of Criteria for an Exceptionally Successful Student at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, adopted in accordance with Article 26, Section 3 of the Ordinance on the Implementation of the Election/Re-election Procedure for Scientific-Teaching, Artistic-Teaching, Teaching, Associate, and Professional Positions at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek.

Applicants must submit their application along with the required documentation using the dedicated Form number 4 for application for the position of Teaching Assistant, available on the Faculty's website (https://www.ffos.unios.hr/dokumenti/).

All applicants are required to submit their application to the Call as well as proof of meeting the criteria in electronic form in PDF format.

For applicants who are foreign nationals, proof of proficiency in the Croatian language (including the Latin script) must be submitted in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (advanced level, C2).

Applicants holding a foreign higher education qualification are required to submit proof that the evaluation procedure of the foreign higher education qualification has been completed for the purpose of access to the labour market.

Additional Information

Eligibility criteria

The Call is open under equal terms to person of all genders. Late or incomplete applications shall not be considered.

Only candidates who submit a timely and complete application and who meet the formal requirements of the Call shall be considered as having applied to the Call.

The application is considered complete if it contains all the required data and appendixes as outlined in the Call, and is personally signed by the applicant.

Selection process

Applicants meeting the general requirements, who have submitted a complete and timely application shall be required to undergo an assessment of motivation and an additional evaluation of knowledge before an Committee, through a written test and/or an interview, in accordance with Article 27 of the Ordinance on the Implementation of the Election/Re-election Procedure for Scientific-Teaching, Artistic-Teaching, Teaching, Associate, and Professional Positions at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek.

Applicants will be informed of the date, time and venue of the written test and/or an interview by e-mail and via the website of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, www.ffos.unios.hr. Applicants who fail to attend the interview before Committee shall be deemed to have withdrawn their application and will no longer be considered candidates in the selection procedure.

Additional comments

By submitting an application to the Call for Applications, the candidate granting permission to have all their personal data in the submitted documents collected and processes in accordance with the regulations governing personal data protection, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).

The applicants are required to submit, together with their application, a completed and signed Consent Form for the collection and processing of personal data for the purpose of conducting the competition procedure. The Consent Form is available on the website of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek (link: https://www.ffos.unios.hr/dokumenti/). Applications submitted without a duly completed and signed Consent Form shall be considered incomplete and will be rejected.

The Call is open 30 days from the date of publication.

Applicants will be notified of the results within fifteen (15) days following the termination date via the Faculty webpage www.ffos.unios.hr. Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences reserves the right to also notify the applicants via email.
