Tenure-Track Position in Screen Studies

programs and disciplines. We are particularly interested in candidates with teaching and research interests in adaptation studies and the practical application of Screen Studies (such as screenwriting).

The yearly teaching load will be five semester courses at the undergraduate level in total (3+2 or 2+3) and it will include SCRN 1001 Introduction to Screen Studies. Responsibilities will include undergraduate teaching, program development, student supervision, committee work as assigned, and maintaining an active research, creative, and/or professional profile. The appointment will be made at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor and will commence on July 1, 2026 (subject to budgetary approval).

The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing Screen Studies as a destination program and in aligning it with the University’s strategic priorities of innovation, sustainability, and community building.
