Our story
Generic job boards bury academic jobs and research jobs next to every other industry. University jobs need their own board — one that speaks the language of higher education recruitment: professor, lecturer, scientist, dean, and the professional staff who keep campuses running.
About half of higher education roles are administrative and professional staff. We list those alongside academic careers for faculty and researchers, because universities hire whole teams, not only the people who teach and publish.
This Switzerland page is for domestic academic jobs — university jobs, research posts, and professional staff roles at Switzerland's universities and institutes.
Why AcademicJobs
We believe Switzerland's higher-ed job board should be specialised — built for university jobs, research jobs, and academic careers in Switzerland, not borrowed from a general careers site.
Built only for higher education
Every feature is for academic jobs: university jobs, lecturer roles, research posts, and professional staff at Switzerland's universities and institutes.
Academic, research, and professional staff
Professors and scientists sit next to the administrators who make up about half of higher education hiring. Academic careers in Switzerland include both.
Local first
Search university jobs in Zurich or Geneva. This Switzerland board is built around where you are — your campus, your city, your country page.
5000+ subjects
From STEM to the humanities, we list academic jobs across 5000+ subjects so specialists in Switzerland can find the right department, not a catch-all category.
Tools around the listing
News, ratings, university salaries, and the Career Hub sit beside the posting — context for academic careers, not a social feed.
Employers post here too
Universities and institutes in Switzerland list university jobs and professional staff roles on the same board. Seekers search; employers post.
THE Network
THE Network brings academics, researchers and higher education professionals together by specialty. Join the rooms for your field, connect with peers, and be found for the roles and collaborations that matter to you.

Our goal is to be the dedicated Switzerland university jobs board — the place professors, researchers, and higher-ed professionals look first for domestic academic jobs and university jobs.
It is free to search, and it starts with the role in your city — or the job you post there.
