🎓 What is an Assistant Professor?

The term Assistant Professor refers to an academic rank in higher education, typically the first step on the tenure-track ladder for faculty members. This position, meaning a junior faculty role focused on building a scholarly career, involves a blend of teaching, research, and service to the institution.
