Rate My Professor Behrouz Emamizadeh

Emamizadeh's research specializations encompass optimization problems related to partial differential equations, particularly those involving rearrangement techniques, eigenvalue problems for the p-Laplacian, pseudo p-Laplacian, and Kirchhoff-type operators, as well as monotonicity and stability of solutions in variational settings. He investigates free boundary problems, including optimal harvesting scenarios and quadrature domains, symmetry results such as radial and Steiner symmetrization in PDEs, inverse problems, and variational methods in unbounded domains. Applications extend to nonlinear elliptic equations, Steklov problems, and geophysical fluid dynamics, such as steady vortices and seamounts. His institutional profile lists 56 research outputs, with key publications including 'A general existence theorem for a multi-valued control problem' (Comptes Rendus Mathematique, 2024), 'A formula for the sum of n weak* closed sets in L∞' (Comptes Rendus Mathematique, 2023), 'Maximization Problems for Second Order Elliptic Equations' (Contemporary Mathematics, 2021), 'Optimization problems and mathematical analysis of optimal values in Orlicz spaces' (Electronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2021), 'Analyticity of free boundary in an optimal harvesting problem' (Letters in Mathematical Physics, 2020), 'Constrained and unconstrained rearrangement minimization problems related to the p-Laplace operator' (Journal d'Analyse Mathematique, 2015), and 'Existence and uniqueness of solutions for nonlocal p-Laplacian problems' (Electronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2016). These works have accumulated over 339 Scopus citations, underscoring his influence in the fields of calculus of variations and elliptic PDEs through collaborations with global researchers. In 2018, Emamizadeh was awarded the Faculty Teaching Award at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China for his contributions to teaching excellence.
