Geofrey Wingi Sikazwe holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Stellenbosch University, completed through the Department of Mathematical Sciences. He serves as a Lecturer at Mkwawa University College of Education, part of the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. His academic work centers on mathematical modelling with applications to epidemiology, climate change impacts, food security, and agricultural systems, including studies on cassava viruses and species distribution modelling.
Sikazwe has contributed to research examining the effects of climate change on crop diseases and suitable habitats for key agricultural threats in East Africa. His publications include work on predicting current and future suitable habitats for cassava brown streak disease and related modelling of viral infections in cassava crops. Additional research addresses epidemiological parameters and integrated approaches to disease modelling in the region. No public records of major awards, editorial roles, or specific committee appointments were identified from official sources.
